Yeni Apple Exclusive, Devasa iPhone 13 Yükseltmelerini Tanıttı

Expectations for Apple’s iPhone 13 series have taken a few big hits this month. But now a seminal new report has revealed that two major upgrades can achieve that.

Confirmed: Apple iOS 14.7 New Apple Watch Breaks iPhone Feature

Respected analysts Wedbush, picked up by 9to5Mac by Gordon Kelly , dismissed the alarming news that Apple plans to play it safe with both storage and non-Pro updates for the iPhone 13 series. and provided major upgrades for both.

First, Wedbush states that Apple won’t be sticking with a 512GB flagship iPhone in 2021, instead doubling it to a massive 1TB. Given Apple’s introduction of ProRaw photography, which combines RAW images with iPhone image processing, this would make a lot of sense. ProRaw files can be up to 10 times larger than standard iPhone HEIF and JPEG images.

However, the biggest implication I can think of would be the drip effect. A 1TB iPhone will shake up existing iPhone storage configurations of 128/256/512GB. Given that 128GB was only introduced last year, it’s likely to stay, but a moderate jump to 512GB would be mouthwatering.

Second, Wedbush doubled down on Apple’s claim to bring the LiDAR sensor to all iPhone 13 models. It’s a big call when the detailed iPhone 13 schematics leaked in June show the iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 models with diagonal rear camera arrangements, as well as flash and upgraded Beamforming microphone but no LiDAR. Then again, Wedbush continues to hold up.

If true, the move could also give LiDAR the kick in the arm it desperately needs. LiDAR on iPhone Pro models offers some extremely impressive 3D scanning capabilities, but the fact that it’s limited to these high-end phones means it’s not widely adopted by app manufacturers, so apps around it remain relatively niche.

Again, Wedbush is fighting the tide here, but it has a clear reason to do so and maintains a high track record of accuracy. My personal feeling is to remain cautious. With the almost unanimous opinion of the leaker community that the iPhone 13 series will come with big new cameras, better battery life, super-fast global 5G, and eventually a smaller notch, there are greater certainties to be excited about.
